St Ives

South West

An area of undeniable natural beauty, St Ives, Cornwall, is well recognised for its golden beaches and subtropical climate.    The roots of St Ives lie in a rich fishing industry, but since the industry’s gradual decline,  the town has become renowned as an artistic and cultural hub (its rich vegetation and incredible light quality has attracted artists, ceramicists and sculptors for generations)  and primarily as a popular tourist destination.

As a Coastal Community Team, all organisations involved: St Ives Town Council, St Ives Chamber of Trade, St Ives BID, St Ives Tourism Association, The Neighbourhood Police Team and Cornwall Council bring to the table a wealth of expertise along with fantastic links to other organisations working within the local area – true strength in community partnership!  The Coastal Community Team has the joint vision for the St Ives Bay area to flourish and thrive as a successful coastal community, to the benefit of all who live, work and visit the area.  This includes supporting the employment and business base – so that it is well grounded in a range of sustainable activities – including the existing tourism economy.
