Seaton Carew

North East

Seaton Carew is a small British seaside resort within Hartlepool.  It has a wide sandy beach, long promenade, and an increasing nature and tourism offer.  It has a rich heritage that is reflected in its conservation status.

The regeneration of the sea front called “the Front” and other areas within Seaton Carew is required to continue the economic revival of Hartlepool. £600K has been successfully awarded from the Coastal Communities Fund Round 4 to support a £1.3m scheme within 2017/18 which will deliver a new outdoor leisure park, play equipment, water jets, landscaping, beach huts, new public realm, a public artwork, revitalisation of a Grade II Bus Station & Clock Tower, and a crazy golf course.

The Coastal Community Team is committed to helping achieve the objectives of the recently adopted Seaton Carew Masterplan to develop 3 main aims:

  1. To develop a clean, family friendly environment.

  2. To enhance public amenities, space and facilities for visitors and residents.

  3. To support the economic vibrancy of the area.

  4.
