Lyme Regis

The seaside town of Lyme Regis, flanked by Charmouth to the east and Uplyme to the West is a sparkling resort for all seasons. Sitting at the heart of the Jurassic Coast, England’s first World Heritage site, this is a pirate’s treasure chest: whatever your age and whatever the time of year you will find jewels to delight and entertain you. For the very young those might be the sea creatures of millions of years ago. Families can relax and enjoy the town’s simple friendliness. Older visitors can take time to contemplate the beauty of the scenery, the town and The Cobb. For the active it might be walking, water sports or golf; for the culture seeker it might be the work of our artists, writers or artisans and, for the gourmet, it would be our specialist food shops and wide variety of pubs and restaurants.

As a Coastal Community Team, the businesses, councils and communities of Uplyme, Charmouth and Lyme Regis have collaborated to create the future vision for our area. This is the beginning of an exciting journey that will re-energise our coastline.
