Bridlington

Yorkshire & Humber

Bridlington is the largest town in the East Riding – it is a traditional seaside resort with its centre a stone’s throw from the historic harbour and golden beaches, along with the nearby heritage coast of Flamborough Head, superb sailing waters of Bridlington Bay, and the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds.

The Bridlington Coastal Community Team will be developed through the existing Renaissance Partnership to establish the current economic plan for the town. The short term Coastal Community Team activities will be to improve opportunities for skills development and employment in the local area, by working with education providers, and small businesses looking to recruit locally.

Much work has been completed to deliver the Strategy for Regenerating Bridlington (2004) and the remaining major projects for town centre, harbour and marina developments are actively being progressed by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The work of the Coastal Community Team, through the Renaissance Partnership, will continue to develop short and medium term solutions to improve economic conditions for local business growth and employment, making “Bridlington - A Great Place to Live, Work and Visit!”
