The Economic Assessment (EA) provides LAs with the opportunity to develop a unique narrative about how their coast works.

The EA has the potential to provide a new impetus to joined-up thinking by the council and its partners,

The EA has the potential to re-energise commitments to coastal regeneration from the national tier downwards.

LAs should seize the opportunity provided by "place-shaping" and the EA to renew and refocus their discretion and engage others in the coastal regeneration agenda

Not for the shelf! This import and timely opportunity will be lost if the EA is allowed to sit on the shelf and gather dust.
