Before inviting or considering any proposals for the redevelopment of the Southern Foreshore site, East Lindsey District Council are keen to establish and consult with a working group of key stakeholders and local representatives to highlight the issues which any potential developer will need to address when looking at the site in order to maintain and enhance the long-term prosperity and character of the town. Stakeholders will include Skegness ELDC ward members, Skegness Town Council, Skegness & District Chamber of Commerce, Skegness Foreshore Traders Association, Skegness Civic Society, Skegness East Coast & Wolds Hospitality Association, LCC Highways and the Environment Agency.
