Following the launch it was agreed that the the CCA partners take forward and lead on four key areas of work and undertake an ongoing lobbying role into:

  • Enterprising Coasts – Lincolnshire County Council and Scarborough Borough Council lead
  • Health and Well-being on the coast – IDEA Lead
  • The impact of an Ageing Population in coastal towns East Lindsey District Council lead
  • Planning and Coastal Management– Coastal SIG lead

 LCC will act as the facilitator for the work programme and coordinate activities and communication amongst CCA Partners.

Work Plan

For each area of identified activity the CCA and partners will

  • Produce a research paper/discussion paper
  • Host a conference/national coastal debate
  • Produce a programme of solutions based
  • Deliver a pilot programme
  • Produce an assessment of the pilot programme for use in lobbying and instigate change in service delivery
